When choosing Dr Flynn and Dr Allanach you will have the peace of mind knowing that both Doctor and our team are always available to answer your questions and reassure you. With our colleagues we provide group obstetric cover, so that 24 hours a day, every day of the year, there is a doctor available for emergencies.
All the information you need will be provided at each visit to Dr Flynn or Dr Allanach, but these are some of the things you might like to know.
Midwife Visits
Our experienced midwife will be there to see you or answer questions over the phone. “Always reassuring” and “awesome” are some of the ways our patients have described our midwife.
If a Problem Arises…
Pregnancy problems often occur in the middle of the night!
In normal office hours, please phone our rooms on (07) 5564 8011 and ask our team for advice.
After hours and on weekends, please phone Pindara Hospital on (07) 5588 9888 and ask to be transferred to Maternity for around the clock midwife advice.
Pindara Maternity
Dr Flynn and Dr Allanach deliver exclusively at Pindara Maternity Hospital, a premium maternity service long recognised for the individualised, holistic care provided by a highly skilled health professionals and fully trained nursing staff.
Please book in to Pindara Hospital online at approximately 14-16 weeks (www.pindaraprivate.com.au). Having this booking is important so that when you present to the hospital we are able to solely concentrate on the birthing process.
It is also important that you check with your private health fund that you have family cover so that your baby is insured.
Please phone Maternity when coming into hospital so all is prepared for you.
Group Care
While Dr Flynn or Dr Allanach will be the person responsible for your care in pregnancy, to provide the optimum service, we belong to a group of obstetricians. One of us each day is responsible solely for delivery suite management and emergencies.
By providing these services on a rostered basis the group practice will deliver to you the highest quality medical care.
While another doctor from our group may be involved in the delivery of your baby, they will use our management plan from consultations and we will continue the rest of your care in hospital.
